Application for Degree Oral Examination and Graduation Procedures for Master’s and Doctoral Students
I. Online Application via the “Degree Examination Application System” (Deadline: April 25, 2025)
• Log in to the “University Administration Portal” at https://iportal.ntnu.edu.tw/ntnu/ → Click on “Educational administration related system”→
Click on “Application for Final Oral Examination”.
1. Complete the “Oral Defense Application Form” and “Committee Member List.”
To coordinate with the bulk diploma issuance schedule, the graduation month/year must be entered as June 2025 (11406).
2. Important Notes:
(1) For students who have completed oral defense in the previous semester (or earlier) but have not yet officially graduated
If you plan to graduate in the 2nd semester of Academic Year 2024, you must log into the “Degree Examination Application System” and submit the graduation application. However, printing the application documents is unnecessary. The department will enter your final grade directly.
(2) If you are only completing the oral defense this semester but do not plan to graduate (e.g., due to participating in an exchange program abroad), please make sure to notify the department secretary in advance (by April 25) to facilitate administrative arrangements.

II. Submission of Printed Documents for Degree Oral Examination (Two Weeks Before the Exam Date)
1. Self-Checklist (Download from the website of the Graduate Institute of Management)
2. Application Form and Academic Ethics Application Form (Download from the system; must be signed by the advisor)
3. Oral Defense Committee List (Printed from the system in PDF format, including the approval signature sheet and academic record)
4. Complete Academic Transcript (With course names for the current semester indicated)
5. Thesis Similarity Report (Signed by the thesis advisor, Turnitin percentage included)
III. Regulations according to NTNU’s “Regulations for Conferring. Academic Degrees and Graduate Degree Examinations” and Requirements of Graduate Institute of Management
1. The deadline for Degree Oral Examination is July 31, 2025 (Thursday).
2. The Graduation Services Portal will open, and diploma collection will begin on June 3, 2025 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m.
3. The final submission deadline for the approved thesis is August 18, 2025 (Monday) by 5:00 p.m.
4. For important notes, procedures, and certificate collection times/locations regarding graduation for the 2nd semester of Academic Year 2024, please check the “Graduation” section on the Office of Academic Affairs website:
